LIMA, Sep. 6, 2013 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 (South American Qualifiers) : Uruguay defeated Peru by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Friday night.
The result put the Uruguayans 5th in the group with 19 points. Peru is 7th with 14 points. In their next game, Uruguay will meet second-placed Colombia on September 10, while Peru will face Venezuela.
