QUITO, Oct. 11, 2013 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 (South American Qualifiers) : Ecuador defeated Uruguay by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Friday afternoon.
The result put the Ecuadorians third in the group with 25 points. Uruguay is 5th with 22 points. In their last game, Ecuador will meet Chile on October 15, while Uruguay will face Argentina.
