NOUMEA, Oct. 16, 2012 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 (Oceania Qualifiers) : New Caledonia defeated the Solomon Islands by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 4-0), in a qualifying game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup (Third Round) on Tuesday night.
The result put the New Caledonians top of the group with 9 points. The Solomon Islands is third with 3 points. In their next game, New Caledonia will meet second-placed New Zealand on March 22, while the Solomon Islands will face Tahiti.
