DUBLIN, Jun. 7, 2013 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 (European Qualifiers) : Ireland defeated the Faroe islands by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup on Friday night.
The result put the Irish second in Group C with 11 points. The Faroe islands is bottom with no points. In their next game, Ireland will meet Sweden on September 6, while the Faroe islands will face Sweden.
