SOLNA, Oct. 11, 2013 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 (European Qualifiers) : Sweden defeated Austria by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup on Friday night.
The result put the Swedish second in Group C with 20 points. Austria is third with 14 points. In their last game, Sweden will meet group leaders Germany on October 15, while Austria will face the Faroe islands.
