LISBON, Jun. 7, 2013 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 (European Qualifiers) : Portugal defeated Russia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup on Friday night.
The result put the Portuguese top of Group F with 14 points. Russia is second with 12 points. In their next game, Portugal will meet Northern Ireland on September 6, while Russia will face Northern Ireland.
