BELFAST, Aug. 14, 2013 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 (European Qualifiers) : Northern Ireland defeated Russia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Russians second in Group F with 12 points. Northern Ireland is fourth with 6 points. In their next game, Russia will meet Luxembourg on September 6, while Northern Ireland will face Portugal.
