ST. PETERSBURG, Sep. 10, 2013 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 (European Qualifiers) : Russia defeated Israel by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night.
The result put the Russians top of Group F with 18 points. Israel is third with 12 points. In their next game, Russia will meet Luxembourg on October 11, while Israel will face Portugal.
