HELSINKI, Sep. 7, 2012 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 (European Qualifiers) : France defeated Finland by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup on Friday night at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium.
All the action happened in the first half, with French midfielder Abou Diaby goal in the 20th minute.
The result put the French top of Group I with 3 points. In their next game, France will meet Belarus at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium on September 11, while Finland will face Georgia.
