SAINT DENIS, Mar. 26, 2013 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 (European Qualifiers) : Spain defeated France by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Stade de France in Saint Denis.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Spanish forward Pedro in the 58th minute.
The result put the Spaniard top of Group I with 11 points. France is second with 10 points. In their next game, Spain will meet Finland at the Stade de France on September 6, while France will face Georgia.
