Sweden beats Switzerland to reach World Cup quarterfinals
SAINT PETERSBURG, Jul. 3, 2018 (AMP) — Russia 2018 : Sweden qualified to the quarter-finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup with a 1-0 win against Switzerland (halftime: 0-0) on Tuesday afternoon at the Krestovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Swedish midfielder Emil Forsberg in the 66th minute.
