England beats Sweden to advance to World Cup semifinals
SAMARA, Jul. 7, 2018 (AMP) — Russia 2018 : England reached the semifinals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup with a 2-0 win against Sweden (halftime: 1-0) on Saturday night at the Cosmos Arena in Samara.
England dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by defender Harry Maguire in the 30th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Englishs further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Alli in the 59th minute.
