SAINT PETERSBURG, Jul. 14, 2018 (AMP) — Russia 2018 : Belgium secured the consolation of third place at the 2018 FIFA World Cup with a 2-0 win against England (halftime: 1-0) on Saturday afternoon at the Krestovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg.
Belgium dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Meunier in the 4th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Belgians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Hazard with just 8 minutes remaining in regulation time.
