World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Kenya defeats Mauritius 5-2

BELLE-VUE-MAUREL, Oct. 7, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : Kenya defeated Mauritius by a score of 5-2 (halftime: 2-0), in the first leg of a World Cup qualifier tie on Wednesday night at the Stade Anjalay.

Omolo scored dual goals

Kenya dominated the first half thanks to goals from Omolo ('18) and Masika ('23). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Kenyans further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Shakava '49, Omolo '82 and Olunga '87).

The second leg between Mauritius and Kenya will be played on Sunday October 11, 2015 (kick-off: 16:00) in Nairobi.
