World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Mauritania beats South Sudan 4-0 to qualify for next round
NOUAKCHOTT, Oct. 13, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : Mauritania defeated South Sudan by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Tuesday afternoon at the Nouakchott Olympic Stadium.
Mauritania dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Ahmed in the 4th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Mauritanians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Bagili '62, M. Samba '85 and Diakité '90).
Mauritania, who tied 1-1 in the first leg, advance to the second round of the ongoing CAF World Cup qualifying campaign. South Sudan is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : First Round
