MAPUTO, Nov. 11, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : Mozambique defeated Gabon by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in the first leg of a World Cup qualifier tie on Wednesday night at the Zimpeto Stadium in Maputo.
45 minutes of play and neither the Mozambicans nor the Gaboneses have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Pelembe in the 54th minute.
The second leg between Mozambique and Gabon will be played on Saturday November 14, 2015 (kick-off: 18:00) in Libreville.
