AGADIR, Nov. 12, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : Morocco defeated Equatorial Guinea by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the first leg of a World Cup qualifier tie on Thursday night at the Agadir Stadium.
Morocco dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward El-Arabi in the 30th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Moroccans further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Bammou in the 66th minute.
The second leg between Morocco and Equatorial Guinea will be played on Sunday November 15, 2015 (kick-off: 16:00) in Bata.
