World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : South Africa defeats Angola 3-1
BENGUELA, Nov. 13, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : South Africa defeated Angola by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-1), in the first leg of a World Cup qualifier tie on Friday afternoon at the Ombaka National Stadium in Benguela.
Angola opened the score in the score in the 2nd minute thanks to Gelson, before South Africa regained the advantage with Rantie ('13) and Gabuza ('20). Leading 2-1 at the break, the South Africans further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Jali on penalty with just 10 minutes remaining in regulation time.
The second leg between Angola and South Africa will be played on Tuesday November 17, 2015 (kick-off: 19:00) in Durban.
