World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Gabon beats Mozambique in shoot out to qualify for next round
LIBREVILLE, Nov. 14, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : Gabon defeated Mozambique on penalties 4-3, after the match ended 1-0 in regulation time, in the second leg of a qualifying game on Saturday night at the Stade d'Angondjé in Libreville.
The score was still 1-0 at the end of the regulation game time and overtime, after Evouna's only goal in the 2nd minute. The Gaboneses finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 4-3.
Gabon, who lost the first leg (0-1), advance to the third round of the ongoing CAF World Cup qualifying campaign. Mozambique is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : Second Round
