World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Burkina Faso beats Benin 2-0 to qualify for next round
OUAGADOUGOU, Nov. 17, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : Burkina Faso defeated Benin by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Tuesday night at the Stade du 4-Août in Ouagadougou.
Burkina Faso dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Pitroipa in the 17th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Burkinabés further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Traoré in the 70th minute.
Burkina Faso, who lost the first leg (1-2), advance to the third round of the ongoing CAF World Cup qualifying campaign. Benin is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : Second Round
