World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Congo-Brazzaville beats Ethiopia 2-1 to qualify for next round
BRAZZAVILLE, Nov. 17, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : Congo-Brazzaville defeated Ethiopia by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-1), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Tuesday afternoon at the Stade Alphonse Massemba-Débat in Brazzaville.
Ethiopia had started off well by taking the lead in the 28th minute with a goal by Getaneh. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Congoleses nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (N'Ganga '48 and Bifouma '53).
Congo-Brazzaville, who won the first leg (4-3), advance to the third round of the ongoing CAF World Cup qualifying campaign. Ethiopia is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : Second Round
