KUMASI, Nov. 17, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : Ghana defeated Comoros by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Tuesday afternoon at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Ghana dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Wakaso Mubarak in the 18th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Ghanaians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Ayew with just 5 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Ghana, who tied 0-0 in the first leg, advance to the third round of the ongoing CAF World Cup qualifying campaign. Comoros is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : Second Round
