World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Senegal beats Madagascar 3-0 to qualify for next round
DAKAR, Nov. 17, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : Senegal defeated Madagascar by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Tuesday night at the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium in Dakar.
Senegal dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Cheikhou Kouyaté in the 20th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Senegaleses further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Konaté '53 and Mame Biram Diouf '82).
Senegal, who tied 2-2 in the first leg, advance to the third round of the ongoing CAF World Cup qualifying campaign. Madagascar is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : Second Round
