MONASTIR, Oct. 9, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : Tunisia defeated Guinea by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Sunday night at the Mustapha Ben Jannet Stadium in Monastir.
45 minutes of play and neither the Tunisians nor the Guineans have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Abdennour ('58) and Ben-Hatira ('79).
The result put the Tunisians second in Group A with 3 points. In their next game, Tunisia will meet Libya at the Mustapha Ben Jannet Stadium on November 11, while Guinea will face DR Congo.
