MONASTIR, Oct. 7, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : DR Congo defeated Libya by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night at the Mustapha Ben Jannet Stadium in Monastir.
Libya made the congoleses doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Bakambu ('50) and Mubele ('75).
The result put the congolese second in Group A with 10 points. Libya is bottom with 3 points. In their last game, DR Congo will meet third-placed Guinea at the Mustapha Ben Jannet Stadium on November 11, while Libya will face Tunisia.
