World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Nigeria beats Zambia 2-1
NDOLA, Oct. 9, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : Nigeria defeated Zambia by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Sunday afternoon at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
Nigeria dominated the first half thanks to goals from Iwobi ('33) and Iheanacho ('43). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Nigerians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.
The result put the Nigerians top of Group B with 3 points. In their next game, Nigeria will meet Algeria at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on November 12, while Zambia will face Cameroon.
