CONSTANTINE, Sep. 5, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : Zambia defeated Algeria by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Mohamed Hamlaoui Stadium in Constantine.
45 minutes of play and neither the Zambians nor the Algerians have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Daka in the 66th minute.
The result put the Zambians second in Group B with 7 points. Algeria is bottom with one point. In their next game, Zambia will meet group leaders Nigeria at the Mohamed Hamlaoui Stadium on October 7, while Algeria will face Cameroon.
