RABAT, Sep. 1, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : Morocco defeated Mali by a big score of 6-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Friday night at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
Ziyech scored dual goals
Morocco dominated the first half thanks to goals from Ziyech ('19 on penalty) and Boutaïb ('27). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Moroccans further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Ziyech '61, Hakimi '72, Fajr '86 and Mahi '88).
The result put the Moroccans top of Group C with 5 points. Mali is bottom with one point. In their next game, Morocco will meet Mali at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on September 5, while Mali will face Morocco.
