GABON, Sep. 2, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : Ivory Coast defeated Gabon by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Saturday afternoon at the Stade d'Angondjé in Gabon.
Seydou Doumbia scored dual goals
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Gradel ('53) and Doumbia ('77, '83).
The result put the Ivorians top of Group C with 7 points. Gabon is third with 2 points. In their next game, Ivory Coast will meet third-placed Gabon at the Stade d'Angondjé on September 5, while Gabon will face Ivory Coast.
