OUAGADOUGOU, Oct. 8, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : Burkina Faso tied 1-1 with South Africa (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night at the Stade du 4-Août in Ouagadougou.
No goals in the first half and one each in the second, Diawara ('89) for Burkina Faso, Furman ('80) for South Africa.
The result left both teams on top of Group D with one point. In their next game, South Africa will meet Cape Verde at the Stade du 4-Août on September 1, while Burkina Faso will face Cape Verde.
