DURBAN, Sep. 5, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : Cape Verde defeated South Africa by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

South Africa made the Cape Verdeans doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with two goals by [[Garry Rodrigues at '52 and '67.
