POLOKWANE, Nov. 10, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : Senegal defeated South Africa by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Friday night at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
All the action happened in the first half, with goals from Diafra Sakho ('12) and Mkhize ('38 own).
The result put the Senegalese top of Group D with 11 points. South Africa is bottom with 4 points. In their last game, Senegal will meet South Africa at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on November 14, while South Africa will face Senegal.
