KAMPALA, Nov. 12, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : Uganda defeated Congo-Brazzaville by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Saturday afternoon at the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala.
All the action happened in the first half, with Miya goal in the 17th minute.
The result put the Ugandans top of Group E with 4 points. Congo-Brazzaville is bottom with no points. In their next game, Uganda will meet second-placed Egypt at the Mandela National Stadium on August 31, while Congo-Brazzaville will face Ghana.
