CONGO-BRAZZAVILLE, Sep. 5, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : Ghana defeated Congo-Brazzaville by a big score of 5-1 (halftime: 3-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday afternoon at the Kintélé Municipal Stadium in Congo-Brazzaville.
Partey scored tripple goals
Ghana dominated the first half thanks to goals from Boakye ('23) and Partey ('26, '45). Leading 3-1 at the break, the Ghanaians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Partey '69 and Boakye '85).
The result put the Ghanaians third in Group E with 5 points. Congo-Brazzaville is bottom with one point. In their next game, Ghana will meet group leaders Uganda at the Kintélé Municipal Stadium on October 7, while Congo-Brazzaville will face Egypt.
