ALEXANDRIA, Sep. 5, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (African Qualifiers) : Egypt defeated Uganda by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria.
All the action happened in the first half, with Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Salah goal in the 6th minute.
The result put the Egyptians top of Group E with 9 points. Uganda is second with 7 points. In their next game, Egypt will meet Congo-Brazzaville at the Borg El Arab Stadium on October 8, while Uganda will face Ghana.
