BASSETERRE, Mar. 23, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (American Qualifiers) : Saint Kitts and Nevis defeated Turks and Caicos Islands by a big score of 6-2 (halftime: 3-1), in the first leg of a World Cup qualifier tie on Monday night at Warner Park in Basseterre.
O. Mitchum scored dual goals
Saint Kitts and Nevis dominated the first half thanks to goals from Harris ('17), T. Leader ('43) and O. Mitchum ('45). Leading 3-1 at the break, the Kittitians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Hanley '67, O'Loughlin '85 and O. Mitchum '89).
The second leg between Saint Kitts and Nevis and Turks and Caicos Islands will be played on Thursday March 26, 2015 (kick-off: 19:00) in Providenciales.
