World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Curaçao held to a 2-2 draw by Montserrat but qualifies for next round
ST. JOHN'S, Mar. 31, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (American Qualifiers) : Montserrat tied 2-2 with Curaçao (halftime: 0-1), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Tuesday night at the Blakes Estate Stadium in St. John's.
The Curaçaoans started off well by taking the lead thanks to Lachman in the 43rd minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, and despite Vicento goal ('87) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Montserrat with goals by Willer ('65) and Woods-Garness ('81).
Curaçao, who won the first leg (2-1), advance to the second round of the ongoing CONCACAF World Cup qualifying campaign. Montserrat is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : First Round
