SAN JOSé, Nov. 13, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (American Qualifiers) : Costa Rica defeated Haiti by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Friday night at the Costa Rica National Stadium in San José.
All the action happened in the first half, with Costa Rican defender Cristian Gamboa goal in the 29th minute.
The result put the Costa Ricans top of Group B with 3 points. In their next game, Costa Rica will meet Panama at the Costa Rica National Stadium on November 17, while Haiti will face Jamaica.
