PORT-AU-PRINCE, Nov. 17, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (American Qualifiers) : Jamaica defeated Haiti by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Stade Sylvio Cator in Port-au-Prince.
Haiti made the Jamaicans doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Jamaican forward Clayton Donaldson in the 62nd minute.
The result put the Jamaicans third in Group B with 3 points. Haiti is bottom with no points. In their next game, Jamaica will meet second-placed Costa Rica at the Stade Sylvio Cator on March 25, while Haiti will face Panama.
