ST. LOUIS, Nov. 13, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (American Qualifiers) : The United States defeated Saint Vincent and the Grenadines by a big score of 6-1 (halftime: 3-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Friday night at the Busch Stadium in St. Louis.
Jozy Altidore scored dual goals
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines opened the score in the score in the 5th minute thanks to Anderson, before the United States regained the advantage with Wood ('11), Johnson ('29) and Altidore ('31). Leading 3-1 at the break, the Americans further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Cameron '51, Zardes '58 and Altidore '74).
The result put the Americans top of Group C with 3 points. In their next game, the United States will meet Trinidad and Tobago at the Busch Stadium on November 17, while Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will face Guatemala.
