World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Guatemala beats Saint Vincent and the Grenadines 4-0
KINGSTOWN, Nov. 17, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (American Qualifiers) : Guatemala defeated Saint Vincent and the Grenadines by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday afternoon at the Arnos Vale Stadium in Kingstown.
Guatemala dominated the first half thanks to goals from Cincotta ('23) and M. López ('32). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Guatemalans further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (D. López '48 and Tinoco '81).
The result put the Guatemalans second in Group C with 3 points. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is bottom with no points. In their next game, Guatemala will meet group leaders the United States at the Arnos Vale Stadium on March 25, while Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will face Trinidad and Tobago.
