GUATEMALA CITY, Mar. 25, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (American Qualifiers) : Guatemala defeated the United States by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Friday night at the Estadio Mateo Flores in Guatemala City.
All the action happened in the first half, with goals from Morales ('7) and Ruiz ('15).
The result put the Guatemalans second in Group C with 6 points. USA is third with 4 points. In their next game, Guatemala will meet third-placed the United States at the Estadio Mateo Flores on March 29, while the United States will face Guatemala.
