PORT-OF-SPAIN, Mar. 29, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (American Qualifiers) : Trinidad and Tobago defeated Saint Vincent and the Grenadines by a big score of 6-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port-of-Spain.
Caesar scored dual goals
Trinidad and Tobago dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Bateau in the 36th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Trinidadians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring five times (J. Jones '49, Jones '60, Molino '66 and Caesar '86, '89).
The result put the Trinidadians top of Group C with 10 points. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is bottom with no points. In their next game, Trinidad and Tobago will meet second-placed Guatemala at the Hasely Crawford Stadium on September 2, while Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will face the United States.
