KINGSTOWN, Sep. 2, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (American Qualifiers) : The United States defeated Saint Vincent and the Grenadines by a big score of 6-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Friday afternoon at the Arnos Vale Stadium in Kingstown.
Pulisic scored dual goals
The United States dominated the first half thanks to goals from Wood ('28), Besler ('32) and Altidore ('43 on penalty). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Americans further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Pulisic '71, '90 and Kljestan '78).
The result put the Americans top of Group C with 10 points. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is bottom with no points. In their last game, the United States will meet second-placed Trinidad and Tobago at the Arnos Vale Stadium on September 6, while Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will face Guatemala.
