PORT-OF-SPAIN, Sep. 2, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (American Qualifiers) : Trinidad and Tobago tied 2-2 with Guatemala (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Friday night at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port-of-Spain.
One goal for both sides in the first half, J. Jones ('45) for Trinidad and Tobago, Ruiz ('36) for Guatemala and one each in the second, J. Jones ('62) for Trinidad and Tobago, Ruiz ('87) for Guatemala.
The result put the Trinidadians top of Group C with 11 points. Guatemala is third with 7 points. In their last game, Trinidad and Tobago will meet second-placed the United States at the Hasely Crawford Stadium on September 6, while Guatemala will face Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
