World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Argentina draw 1-1 with Brazil
BUENOS AIRES, Nov. 13, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (South American Qualifiers) : Argentina tied 1-1 with Brazil (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Friday night at the Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires.
The Argentines started off well by taking the lead thanks to Argentine forward Ezequiel Lavezzi in the 34th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Brazil with a saving goal from Lucas Lima in the 58th minute.
The result put the Brazilians 5th in the group with 4 points. Argentina is 8th with 2 points. In their next game, Brazil will meet Peru at the Estadio Monumental on November 17, while Argentina will face Colombia.
