LIMA, Nov. 13, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (South American Qualifiers) : Peru defeated Paraguay by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Friday night at the National Stadium in Lima.
All the action happened in the first half, with Peruvian striker Jefferson Farfán goal in the 20th minute.
The result put the Paraguayans 5th in the group with 4 points. Peru is 7th with 3 points. In their next game, Paraguay will meet Bolivia at the National Stadium on November 17, while Peru will face Brazil.
