LA PAZ, Mar. 24, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (South American Qualifiers) : Colombia defeated Bolivia by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Thursday afternoon at the Hernando Siles Stadium in La Paz.
Colombia dominated the first half thanks to goals from Rodríguez ('10) and Bacca ('41). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Colombians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Cardona in stoppage time.
The result put the Colombians 6th in the group with 7 points. Bolivia is 8th with 3 points. In their next game, Colombia will meet group leaders Ecuador at the Hernando Siles Stadium on March 29, while Bolivia will face Argentina.
