World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Brazil beats Colombia 2-1
MANAUS, Sep. 6, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (South American Qualifiers) : Brazil defeated Colombia by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Tuesday night at the Arena da Amazonia in Manaus.
Miranda opened the score in the 2nd minute, before seeing Colombia catch up in the 37th minute thanks to Marquinhos own goal. 1-1 at half time. The Brazilians eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Neymar in the 74th minute.
The result put the Brazilians second in the group with 15 points. Colombia is fourth with 13 points. In their next game, Brazil will meet Bolivia at the Arena da Amazonia on October 6, while Colombia will face Paraguay.
