CORDOBA, Oct. 11, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (South American Qualifiers) : Paraguay defeated Argentina by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Tuesday night at the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes in Cordoba.
All the action happened in the first half, with González goal in the 18th minute.
The result put the Argentine 5th in the group with 16 points. Paraguay is 6th with 15 points. In their next game, Argentina will meet group leaders Brazil at the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes on November 10, while Paraguay will face Peru.
